Dear Doug,

With the New Year upon us it seems like the perfect time to express my gratitude for your company and the services it provides. I contacted Bug Runner back in April 2017 and had my first inspection on April 18th for possible bed bugs. I did in fact have bed bugs. It wasn’t an infestation but definitely a case that proved to be challenging. From that day forward I spent the following months living in only my bedroom and living out of bags for fear of spreading the bug problem. It was a very stressful, difficult and lonely time for me and I would like to commend you and your staff for always making me feel that the problem would be taken care of no matter what the time frame. Since it took a while to get rid of them it felt as though it would be never ending.


My first call with Jessica made me feel like I was in good hands from the start. She was always very helpful, courteous and compassionate. Speaking with you directly several times during the process was also very comforting. Since my case was a little different I am so grateful you and your company did not give up on my problem. You assured me that not every case was the same and that your company would stand behind what you say and you definitely did.

I can’t say enough about the professionalism and dedication that Peter demonstrated from day one. You should be proud to have him representing your company. From the 1st day I met Peter in April until our last treatment on July 16th he was always very prompt, friendly, understanding, thorough and professional. I have finally got to the point where I am no longer inspecting every black dot on a wall or floor. It is amazing to me how a bed bug problem can affect you on so many levels. I am so glad this problem has been taken care of and I am beyond grateful for your services. Thank you for seeing it through until the problem was rectified. One of the biggest fears as a homeowner is insect infestation, and of all insects to have, bedbugs are up there as the worst.  I found signs of having them, and after a little searching online, found Bug Runner.  I called the office on a Saturday, left a message, and Doug called me back with in a few hours.  We made an appointment and within a few days Doug was over explaining the process.  We brought in the bed bug dog and it turned out I had a small infestation in 2 bedrooms.  Fortunately, it was very small, but still a huge problem none the less.  Doug quoted me a price for their 2 step process and with in a week, they applied the first treatment.  Well, it is now 2 months later, and after packing up two bedrooms into garbage bags, a ton of laundry, and 2 treatments, the bed bug dog has finally given me the all clear.  It’s a great day, and I thank Doug and Bug runner for all of their help.

My family has been using Bug Runner for many, many years and we could not be happier with the level of service and customer care they continue to provide.  The fact that this is a family owned and operated business makes it even better.  This means that every customer of theirs actually matters that much more to them as opposed to us getting lost in some large, nationwide corporation that considers their customers nothing more than a number.  I’ve read some posts below, including one from a “former” employee (how sad, although not shocking, that this person has nothing better to do with their lives than air out their dirty laundry in this forum), and find it to be disingenuous that people continue to point fingers at others for their own problems.  Over the years we have been a customer, Larry and Doug have had a personal hand in just about everything that has come up one way or another – whether it be by hopping on the phone, or following up periodically to ensure we are happy with the service.  The fact is, the beautiful suburbs attract bugs and rodents – and yes, bugs happen despite everyones best efforts – however, I’d much rather know the company we choose to help us alleviate these problems genuinely cares about the quality of service they provide and beyond all that, are extraordinarily knowledgeable about all facets of this business.   If anyone out there is considering a new exterminator, I would strongly encourage you to give them a shot.
